This is, and has been for more than a year, one of the finest phones on Verizon Wireless in my opinion. I really prefer the open nature and usability of pure AOSP Android OS with full Google Services and that's what Nexus devices are known for. The Verizon and Sprint editions of this phone are plagued with a few issues such as only passable battery endurance, and updates that require carrier approval which means a rather lengthy testing period before release putting it months behind sibling unlocked GSM edition, but if your savvy it truly is a piece of cake to unlock the bootloader, install a custom recovery and flash a ready built up to current source code built rom from somewhere like the excellent XDA-Forums without issue. If your even more savvy its fully possible to install the Android SDK on your Windows or Ubuntu PC and roll your own build from the very latest source code from Google's Android Open Source Project repositories. You cant really say that about many Android devices...
2. Samsung Galuxy Nexus 4G, Good phone
The phone i got was basically new.
Pros:
Its great at all app tasks, has no bloatware, and you can put Roms on it or root it easily if you want.
4G is fast! where available. 3g is consistent and also good. WIFI speeds are Very fast. Easy connect to Open or WPA AES Access Points.
Screen quality is about as good as it gets barring some HUGE screen that may arrive later or something with a denser pixel count.
This is likely the most versatile phone on the market right now.
CONS:
Sometimes battery life is lower than expected.
4G to 3G connection transition sometimes leaves you with no internet. (to fix, hit airplane mode on, then off. All set in a few moments)
WIFI secured with the old WPA PSK may have an issue connecting if there are multiple Access Points (like in an office or school).
Conclusion:
Overall Very nice will get 5 Stars once the few issues I see are...

Despite being a year old, this phone still races through anything I can throw at it. I flashed CM10 and it's running amazingly. A good choice if you don't have a 2 year upgrade. The only phone I would choose over this one would be the Galaxy S III.

It is my fist smartphone with data. the screen is huge for great display. when i first got it it was so fast. and after downloading just a few apps it slowed down dramatically. When I try to go to my camera i have to wait and wait for it to get to it. when i want to go into the gallery i will sit and wait for the pics to load and it takes forever. I have to back out of it and go back in. When i search for something on the browser and select the one i want to go to..if i hit the back button it completely exits out of the browser. I have to research all over again. I do like how you can download diff themes for the phone and the sms. it is very "personalize-able". if you stay on the internet or just the phone itself alot the phone will die before the end of the day. I keep a car charger and just automatically plug it up when I get in the car. It has alot of memory and is very easy to use and understand. overall i love it. I just dont like... 2. Never-ending issues.If this phone actually WORKED it'd be great. The only thing I don't like about it when it's working is that there is no option to use the power button to end calls. But it has too many issues. I don't have time to list them all so here are the issues I've had with it JUST TODAY: This phone lags so much that it's impossible to do much on it. I tried to call someone, it lagged for about 20 seconds before restarting, then it took 3 minutes to initialize so I could click on anything, then finally call them. I finished 2 cigarettes before I could get this phone to call. I don't know how I have put up with this phone for this long, but I am willing to shell out a couple hundred for a samsung note II or something. After received, I install Sony Erricson PC Companion Software which will allow me to upgrade to Android 2.1 update 1 3. Phone look nice, compact (compare to other phone same class); however the back cover made of plastic, which makes it look cheap!!!. 4. Screen protector also included (even x10i screen is anti-scratch) 5. Phone works as I expected, pretty big screen, vivid color. 8.1M camera with smile detection, and other features seem nice to have. 6. Take me a while to familiar with phone behavior, but once I get used to it, I like it. 7. Virtual keyboard is nice in landscape mode, but difficult to use in portrait mode. 8. If turn on WiFi, battery will be drained for a day, (but the same for Droid 2, Droid X). Turn off Wifi, it may last for 2 days. Set screen brightness to lowest level may extent more, and you can adjust its brightness by using widgets short... 2. Finally it's here for Android!I was introduced to the board game "Carcassonne" a couple of years ago by a relative, and since then, we and our wives have played several times, and it's always a lot of fun. Unfortunately, we can't all get together too often, so I've been hoping that an Android version would be released, and now it's here. I'm playing Carcassonne on my Kindle Fire, which has a nice screen size for the game. If you're not familiar with Carcassonne, it's a unique game where players build the landscape from colorful tiles containing pieces of fields, roads, cities, and cloisters. In turn, each player positions their tiles, and optionally, places a "Meeple" on any of several locations on the tile. The game continues until the tiles run out or none of the remaining tiles are playable. Points are awarded for controlling fields, roads, cities, and cloisters, and the player with the highest score wins. It's actually much easier to play than it sounds, but learning the proper strategies takes a... 2. Finally, a solid strategy board game for the Kindle FireWell worth the money. It is currently the best app I have for the Kindle Fire. The AI is challenging enough to keep my attention (in fact I always lose on higher difficulties). I am not a big fan of Carcassonne the board game, but it works very well as a mobile app. The computer takes care of all the scoring and bookkeeping. This app offers a lot of options for setup, you can choose different rule sets, number of opponents, etc. It also comes with The River expansion. Also a plea to developers: I want good, modern board games like Puerto Rico or Catan on my Kindle Fire, I am willing to pay $5 a pop for them if they are the quality of Carcassonne. It's hard for me to tell the difference between the 720p screen on SP and the 1080p one on HTC One. Snapdragon S4 is enough cause I never play games on a cellphone. And $319 is a good deal - BUT THIS IS DEFINITELY A USED PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know if every phone sold from amazon is like this, but the seal on the box was broken - and the whole box was so shabby! I opened it and found the plastic bags for user guide and power cord were missing and there were dust on everything. The screen film has quite a few bubbles and was not in place at all. And there was a little scratch on the back. Xperia SP is a good phone at great price but I would rather pay an extra $55 to get a unused one from the Sony store. 2. GREAT PHONEI hve had the phone for 3 days and I have to say great buy. I am usually the one to get the "flagship phone" with all the newest features, but this phone just called my name. For a mid-ranged phone, the SP does beyond a exceptional job. Its illumination bar makes it unique. Get Light Flow so you can customize it even more!! My daughter managed to kill another phone by dropping it (I'm beginning to think she does it on purpose!) 6 months into her contract. She liked my new phone, so I bought her this one - it's cheaper than the ZR, & don't want the expense if she drops it again. Just arrived 24 hours ago, and she's a happy girl again. - Facebook loads very quickly. Battery compartment a little awkward to get on an off. Battery life should be pretty good - I found something called stamina mode in the settings on mine, that cuts non essential processing and info flow when the screen is off. - really saves on the juice. - You can white-list any apps you want to continue receiving data. Great option for IphoneThis is a great phone, I used to own an Iphone and was pleasantly surprised. It is user friendly, not much need for the Instruction manual as it really is very easy to use. I love that most of the apps for Android are free, and the screen for this phone is larger than the Iphone, it takes great pics, and overall I have to say that I dropped it at least 4 times and it barely did any damage. It has options the Iphone doesn't like you can customize the ppl you receive calls from, I love this option! For the price and the fact that is unlocked it really makes it a no brainer. I have used Metro, Tmobile and even straight talk to the phone is versatile and you need no contracts. I love the phone and my bills are never higher than $45. Need more appointment... ? This Unlocked Cell Phones give to us some advantages, like this : 1. BasicI was looking for an inexpensive, reliable unlocked gsm Android phone, and it is what it is. I never knew how difficult it is to find affordable unlocked phones in the US without being tethered to a major communications carrier. Nevertheless, I can make phone calls, send/receive e-mails and txt msgs, which serves my bottom-line needs. My 14 yo daughter wouldn't care for this phone at all because the web access would be too slow for her. Pros: the Swype txt input is pretty is responsive and works well. Despite the small screen, the text is very readable. The battery holds for about 1.5 -2 days, and it re-charges very quickly, it only requires 2.5 hours or so. The phone is small, thin and light, but a solid piece of equipment. Cons: When on a phone call, you must tap the screen twice before you can access the 'Hang-up' button. There is no alert signal for txt msgs, but the phone 'whistles' for when e-mails come in, I'd prefer it the other way around. I don't... 2. Awesome!Like it very much... Although it has a much older version of android, it is awesome and does everything I need it to do, which is make calls and text. I played with the wifi and its great though I do not use the wifi. Touch is very responsive. Nice nice nice. Fits in my palm and pocket easily... As of the time of this review, I have had this phone for 2 days... the only con is I cant get it to read my microSD card YET... With all the hype about the android os, I decided to give it a try. I did not want to spend a lot of money on a galaxy or any of the expensive sets since I wasn't sure if I would like the os. While researching, I came across this phone and purchased it from OG Wireless. It arrived in a small box (original packaging) with the handset, charger and battery. I slipped in my sim and sd card and after downloading the configuration settings for my carrier, I was up and running. I tried calls and the quality is good. It connected to my home wifi with no problem and so far I have not been disappointed. Please bear in mind I am experimenting with android and have no knowledge of the system. I downloaded several apps from google play (after entering my gmail account info) and again encountered no problem. There is tabbed browsing which I like. It came preloaded with a... 2. Such a Deal that I Feel Like I Stole ItAfter checking out Unlocked Cellphone Kings on ebay and BBB (excellent ratings on both), I took the plunge. The phone shipped quickly, and arrived in discrete packaging (Return address did not mention cell phones - good thinking!). Contents: phone, battery, charger (not US), adapter, quick start guide in English, and three manuals, none in English. Setup was simple, quick and painless. However, I don't have a data plan, so I worried about how to avoid unconscionable charges for accidental downloads. The surprisingly hard-to-find .pdf manual in English (found at [...]-downloads) was very helpful with that and several other important issues (How do I answer the phone? How do I hang up? . . . ) After getting oriented, I discovered that this phone is jam-packed. It compares pretty favorably with my kids twice-as-expensive Samsung Exhibit. It has Gingerbread and works great with Google apps like Google Play and Google Drive. It even has a hidden micro SD slot inside and... Need more appointment... ? Phone is good but international model is causing issuesI like this phone, its for my 13 year old son. Everything works great except one thing. The Access Point Settings needed set up to allow the data network for T-Mobile. Internet was then working fine. But everytime I change the MNC setting to 260 for T Mobile it wipes out all the other settings. I was told my T-Mobile and Samsung that neither can help me because this is an international phone. If you don't want Android or iOS this is your phone.This is as close as you can get to a smartphone without a mandatory data plan (Verizon). This phone does not fall apart, the hinges are very strong. I used this phone for two years so far without any case or screen protector. Clearly the top 1 star review is wrong,or they don't know how to treat electronics. I have three complaints though.... Once in a great while calls echo, just hangup and redial, it is just a "bad line", not the phone. The headphone jack is not 3.5mm, but smaller. Connecting the phone to Windows is hit and miss, but I have Windows XP. You can also use this phone as a modem with Verizon's VZ Manager software. It has basic voice commands, a great camera and so much more. Amazing, this was my 1st LG phone. BEST cell phone I've ever owned! 2. AMAZING!!! ExcellENT!!!This phone is amazing!! The keyboard is large, sturdy and thick ( not found with other keyboard cells ). It takes good pictures and great 30 sec. videos with clear sounds, plus the battery lasts super long. Solid, Versatile, Good Option on low budget.Bought the White version online on eBay as amazon did not have it in stock at the time, so I'll be reviewing my experiences on the BLU Life Play from the past couple of days. My first impressions is that the phone is pretty amazing, its solid to feel in the hand and feels lightweight. At only 7.9mm thin, its almost as thin as the Samsung Galaxy S4 while having the performance reminiscence of a top-notch 2012 smartphone. So how does it perform in 2013... lets find out! BUILD QUALITY ------------- The build quality is amazing, and its feels very solid to hold in the hands. the back cover is made out of plastic but unlike such models like the S4, its has a more matte finish than a glossy, making it more durable to hold in the hands. Has 4GB of internal storage and only ~1GB is accessible but you can add an external micro SD card up to 32 GB (I have one and it works). Has a dual sim slots (1 mini and 1 micro) and its unlocked as well so you... 2. Pretty good phone at a great price$230 is a pretty darn good price for this phone which includes a case and screen protector. Pros: - Bright and clear 1280x720 IPS LCD. Great viewing angles with sharp text. - Good 8MP camera. I compared pictures taken with the Life Play and my Galaxy S 2 (IMO great camera picture quality) and found them to be comparable. The 1080 video recording look pretty good as well. No lag or stutter. - The speaker and earpiece were loud enough for me. Phone call quality (this is a phone afterall right?) was good. - Decent battery life. As with most modern smartphones you'll want to charge it halfway through the day. - The MTK MT6589 chipset is powerful enough to play some 720P MKVs containing H.264 video and DTS audio played back through MXPlayer using software decoding. I'm not a big gamer on cell phones but I did load up Dead Space. Extremely smooth gameplay. - MicroSD slot. - Dual SIM: One is a micro-SIM and the other is a regular SIM slot. I only... Need more appointment... ? Loving it!I'm not a phone whiz at all but I've been researching my next phone for quite a while now and the Life Play seemed to have everything I wanted at a great price (ok...I did really want the Life One but couldn't wait for it). Got it today, and voila! I'm up and running! Set up is easy, all very intuitive. Call quality is great. Main camera is awesome and front camera really darn good. Can't comment on the data speeds yet as I am using a t-mobile sim at the moment and limited to 2G because the phone isn't 1700/2100 (t-mobile's 3g/4g frequencies). My new sim card (for use on AT&T 1900 band) will be here in a day or two so we'll see but I have high hopes for high speed based on the amazing wi-fi speed. And did I mention that the phone is super light, amazing screen colors and a very lovely blue color.
