1. Great phone - great seller
This is our second SGH-T699 which came exactly as advertised. For one of Samsung's fastest cpu chipsets this phone from Extr@ordinary is certainly a bargain even if the physical keyboard is never used. The unlock code was not included but was received after a phone call to the vendor. Service and warranty is handled directly by Sansung US. Excellent battery life for a 4g phone. A very easy phone to root and use internationally on GSM networks. External SD card memory to 32gb provides a lot of additional storage.

All in all an impressive phone and a great bargain.

2. Love this phone
I hated to see my G2 go, but this has been a great replacement. I had no trouble registering on Tmobile (I had to use the new sim card that came with it, but that only required a phone call). Android remembered my settings and apps, so the transition was seamless. Phone is nice and fast and the screen look really sharp. I like having number keys and arrow keys (not on the G2)! And the front and back cameras are also fun to play with. Definitely seems like the best keyboard phone for Tm.

Im still figuring out all the features to my phone. I love it and the price is excellent! Im not a big fan of touch screen only phones, so this is a great match for me.Id definitely recommend this for someone who likes android phones with qwerty keyboards.

1. A great purchase
I ordered my phone Jan 2nd and received it Jan 10th. It arrived lightening fast and It is everything I was hoping for and more. The screen is amazing. Everything works..GPS included. The phone is fast and I couldnt be happier. I ordered the Cimo clear case international version for Samsung S3 and it fits great. I had to cut a bit of a larger opening for the volume rocker but it works like a charm. The price and product, compared to a new S3 unlocked is WORTHIT!
I am so happy with this phone I just ordered another for my daughter.
I use straight talk and ordered a Bring Your Own Phone SIM card (ATT compatible) changed the settings for the APN and it works great.
The camera has a flash...a bunch of different settings, zoom, panaramic..
So far the only change I made was to add a different messenging program because something I did when I imported my old sim card phone numbers caused the stock messenging program to have difficulty with the number format. I believe it...

2. Great phone
It took the phone a bit more than a week to come from Singapore via air USPS, there was no tracking information except for the departure date/time from Singapore.
After opening the case, I found the telephone, USB cord, power plug, 2 batteries, manual in English, headphones, one screen protector AND an extra back cover with attached front cover AND a touch pen.
Now, the sticker on the phone says "HD AMOLED" screen, which I doubt it is. Not for that price. So, the battery should not last as long as with a phone with an LED screen. Also, the front sticker says Quad Core CPU. That is not, it is the MT6577 Dual Core processor.
But after playing with it, it is awesome. Android 4.1 is great, the CPU is quick. It comes with a pre-installed 2gb SD card, but when removing the SD card, you have to look closely at the direction which to slide its support. After installing the SIM card, I was able to have my call list and make calls. Sound through calls and reception were clear. I...

Hey guys, been meaning to update this post a few months ago!! First off, I want to say that my first impression of the phone WAS awesome. Now I will urge you NOT to buy it and take your money elsewhere.
Within days of using the phone, my screen cracked horizontally across the screen. I thought to myself, no biggie, still works. Within a couple of weeks, the phone corrupted my SD card, I thought it was my SD card because it had been with me for so long, so I reformatted the SD card and again the phone corrupted it. I LOST EVERYTHING, but luckily I had backed up my pictures. Within 2 months, the phone stopped working! I woke up one day, and there was a black background with a picture of a charger, I pulled the battery out and swapped it with the second one... NOTHING. The phone had been telling me that there was a overcurrent, but I was using the cable and adapter that came with the phone. I tried to revive it, but after about 30...

1. A mixed Bag
It was the Best of times; I was the Worst of times.

The phone is fine, and it looks great, and functions well.

But there were some issues......

The box said White. I got a black phone, which was OK, because it is in a case and the color cannot be seen anyway.

The phone said it was unlocked. I wanted that, and not a jail-broken phone. The phone is indeed locked, and cannot be used on any other network besides AT&T. If I switch carriers, I must apply to unlock it myself, or jail break it myself. This is what I wanted to avoid.

It was not clear that the phone was refurbished. In fact, I would categorize it as misleading in that the word was never used in the ENTIRE ad, and should have been. Given the price that I paid (over $400), I was well under the impression that I was indeed getting a new phone. Anyplace else I looked at had them to $100 less.

I think that the seller misuses unlocked when it should be clear that...

2. What is this?
I charged the iPhone 3gs for two hours. Thing doesn't work at all. All I can get is a screen with the apple sign on it.
Horrible quality. The seller didn't even say that it would be a refurbished item. They said that it would be a completely New item. BS.

1. Phenomenal Phone
I've always been a big fun of Nokia. After having Nokia N900 I was skeptical towards Windows OS. I was very surprised how user friendly the operating system is. Doesn't lock, everything works seamlessly.
My favorite thing is the dedicated camera button. It allows you to take pictures even when your phone is locked. It takes couple seconds from taking out of your pocket and taking a pic. The picture quality is unparalleled to iPhone and better than Samsung
Moreover the design is very solid. I dropped it already several times on the pavement and all it got was small panel dent. I'm not the advocate of carrying my phone in protective case so solid phone is important for me. Weight is great to - you feel like you're holding a phone not a toy like in Samsungs case.
I really recommend this device to anybody

well when i got it, it thought it was really nice. the messaging was really fast, internet, apps (only the ones that were all ready on the phone). My biggest problem was when i downloaded Facebook...it wouldn't come up, and then my phone really started messing up. a message box kept flashing and couldn't get rid of it unless you shut off the phone. i give it 4/10

Not as advertised.
The advertisement for this phone said it had 1GB of ROM when it only had 512Mb. Also, the volume control had a mind of its own. I missed several calls because the volume would lower itself to "0" whenever it wanted to, I would only know I had a call when I got a voicemail signal from the phone. The phone looked great and seemed to be sturdy but the volume issue was too much for me to put up with.

I bought this in March 2012, seeing that it was "Factory Unlocked by Apple, Never Opened" and "New In Shrink-Wrap and Original Packaging".

Just yesterday, a little over 2 months of having the phone, the speaker stopped working so I bring it into Apple, thinking it would be covered under warranty.

The apple employee informs me that the iphone was owned and registered in September 2010 - 17 months before I bought this "new" iphone.

Do not buy ANYTHING from this vendor - WIREOVIA - as you cannot trust the authenticity of what they're selling! What you buy would also not be covered under the manufacturer's warranty if it's older than you think it is. You will just end up with a useless, piece of junk and less several hundred dollars.

2. Touch Screen is insensitive/dead at some spots
The phone looked good when I opened it but once I started using it I felt that some part of the touch screen is not recognizing the taps. I tried several tests to ensure the problem and finally I went to apple website and follow the resolution but for no improvement. But when I tried to enter the serial no and seek help from Apple specialists system denied saying 'Service coverage expired' where as I am supposed to get 1 yr warranty as per the seller commitment.

I looks like although this is claimed as New, it is a replaced/refurbished phone. I felt very sad and need to return it.

Great Seller
When I received this iphone 4 it was in great condition, but it somehow slipped through the cracks and the unlock and updated os was not completed. I found this out when I tried to have a prepaid service turned on and shelled out $60 for a chip that was nonrefundable. I was furious, I expected the worst to try and resolve this issue, but when I emailed him on Friday night about 6 pm western time he responded within 20 minutes. He apologized profusely and talked me through how to finish the unlock and update til 11:30. then when I installed my new chip it works fine and has been fine ever since I would definitely recommend and buy from this seller again. Things happen and he stood behind his product well past regular business hours.

Fabulous phone!
This smartphone is amazing. The best buy I've ever made in Amazon. Plus to its capability as a S3 smartphone, it has these beautiful flowers that make it so cute. Besides it's fancy and very feminine, also has a very quick processor and works perfectly in Venezuela. The only thing I'd change is that its OS doesn't has Spanish as a configurable language. I tried to install the Morelocale tool in order to set the phone in Spanish and it did work, but the language just wasn't well translated, so the best option was leaving it in English. Anyway, I still love it and recommend it for sure.

I ordered this phone for my brother and he absolutely love this phone its just what he wanted great features good size and the weight is great.

2. Loved it AFTER I learned how to operate it.
It's of great usage in Cameroon where I am. My only problem is that I don't know how to regulate the internet usage through the service provider. I'll have to learn. Otherwise, all of the problems people said they had with it, I haven't had. Although sometimes the touch pad is slow to respond but it's good.

This Phone's from India
I took the phone out of the box and could not get the battery to charge. LG USA could not help me. It does not recognize or support this model, because it says it's for the international market. It thought the charger might be bad and suggested going to Best Buy to buy a new one. First, however, it suggested searching on Google. There I found LG India supports this phone. The manual and downloads are there. And from the manual I got a suggestion to plug the phone in to a computer through the USB cable (provided). It's charging! The charger/adapter was indeed bad.

I'm giving this phone four stars because of the hassle it's been so far, but it still has potential.

I like the Droid 3 better.

Am on Page Plus so can't use 4g anyway

Tradeoff's were:
more ram and dual core processing power on 4 (but not too much more to make a difference in what can be done on the phone)
vs.
less storage space on 4 (8g) as opposed to 16 gig internal storage on 3

(some torrent apps, (Mu Torrent, for example), default to internal storage, even if they are set to download directly to the sd card,
once downloaded, it can easily be transferred afterward to sd card, and deleted from internal storage space, but the space needs to be there on the phone internal, for the download.)

Both work with the new 64gig sandisk micro sd card, as long as the card is first formatted to FAT
(It ships formatted as NTFS)

Both have great hard sildeout keyboards, and (afik) motorola is NOT planning a Droid 5 or anything else with a slideout hard keyboard ;-((

The Droid 3 by Motorola was an excellent buy. It came ready to be put into use and has not shown any glitches since it's been received. I recommend this product and I have recently purchased one for my nephew as well.

1. Excellent phone
I currently have 2 HTC Inspire phones. One is completely stock and the other one rooted and completely modded. Both phones are very solid with minimal lag on any app. Even the stock Inspire will out perform the iPhone 4s. Only down fall that I have found is battery life could be better. However, with performance comes battery drain.

2. Awful
This phone is awful! I had to have mine replaced twice ($120) each time. The first time the screen just stopped working for no reason at all and the second time the phone wouldn't charge for no reason at all. It started vibrating at two in the morning while it was sitting on my night stand and wouldn't stop until I took out the battery. It's no wonder this phone is discontinued. After spending $100 on the phone and $125 to replace it every time it broke I finally gave up and got a cheap pre paid phone hooked up to my plan. So glad I did.

1. My Droid 2 lasted a full 18 months +
I don't understand all of the negative reviews for this phone. I noticed that some of the reviews are rating the seller they bought it from instead of the phone itself which isn't fair for this product.

This was my first smartphone. I chose this one for the full keyboard. Let me tell you, this phone lasted a full 18 months until my next contract extension and then I was able to resell it to a friend and it's still going strong for him.

Let me say the only problems I had with this phone. Firstly, it froze and/or powered off then powered itself back on a couple times a week. It wasn't a big deal for me. Just take the battery out if it ever freezes, put it back in, then restart it.

Second problem is that the keyboard went "wonky" sometimes where it wouldn't type or wouldn't recognize inputs. After researching online, I was easily able to fix this problem. All you have to to is clear the cache. Go to Settings>Manage Apps>Keyboard<then clear cache and...

2. Droid 2
I was really surprised how fast I got this and let me say that this phone is great. Not only that but the seller was nice enough to include a 32gb micro sd card. At first I thought something was wrong with this phone because it wasn't turning on but I found out I just had to charge it lol. It's all good now and thanks for this great deal. I would definitely buy from this seller again.

Best Phone I've ever had
I manage a company with 30 phones. I have tried dozens of them. I prefer this phone over all the others, including the iPhone 4s. Some of the benefits I see over other phones are as follows:

1. Flip Keyboard: It's must faster to type with than an on-screen keyboard.
2. Speed: The speed is about as fast as most other phones. It does what it needs to do quickly, without much lag-time.
3. Battery Life: As long as I keep the Wi-Fi off when I'm not power using the internet, This phone easily lasts all day. Even after I've had the phone for a year and a half.

There are two things I don't like about the phone.
1. The stupid programs that come with the phone that Verizon won't let you delete. (you can get around this by rooting the phone).
2. The camera isn't very good. Although it is a 5 mega pixel camera, the shutter speed is slow. You have to hold your hands very still to get a good shot.

1. Works perfectly with T-mobile
I've been using this phone for a few weeks now and I couldn't be happier. I went with the C5302 specifically to use with T-mobile's HSPA because I live in the sticks I know LTE won't be an option for a while. It took less than five minutes to get the phone set up after I activated the new SIM card whether it was g-mail, SEN, or Evernote, everything synced up without any problems.

My iPod is what I use for my music, but the Walkman on the phone is very good, I would say my music sounds better through the phone than though the iPod.

The viewing angles may not be ideal, but I haven't had any issues with the display, pictures and movies look beautiful on it. The sound won't blow you out of the water, but it's more than adequate if there isn't much ambient noise around you.

The only negative aspect about the phone is the camera, and to be honest I have yet to see a phone that takes anything but "okay" pictures anyway, so I don't hold that against...

2. Excellent Phone
This is an excellent phone for the price! It does and contains everything a mid range smartphone should do and have in today's market. I was skeptical about it at first since it did not have any reviews, however, I decided to go for it, and I can't be happier. The LEDs at the bottom add to the overall design of the phone and are a base for many compliments. The phone feels heavier than an iPhone 5, because it is bigger and all, but I prefer that heaviness so it wasn't an issue for me. One recommendation is to buy an external SD card as the 8gig internal will definitely not be enough, seeing as how you only have 5.5gig available,

Great Phone!
Shipped exactly as promised, in a short time and in a compact box. The phone is really great and really responsive, the battery lifespan on moderate use can last for more than a day before having to charge it. Though I must say one feature that wasn't great was the focus of the camera at a closer range such as when taking pictures of documents.

1. Galaxy Ace Plus GT-S7500
This product is all it is advertised. I received it from Amazon prior to the expected arrival date in new condition. It was in an unlocked condition so I can use it on any GSM network. This is my first Android smartphone and so far it does everything I desire from a cellphone. The screen resolution is good and the screen size, while only 3.65 inches is adequate for doing Emails and online websites. The phone size is perfect, not too big and not too small. The 1Ghz processor speed is very fast also compared to the Nokia C6 I had before. Samsung did an automatic update of the software (2.3 Gingerbread) the first time I went to their website.
Calls are clear and texting is ok, though somewhat slow due to the small size of the screen and my large hands. I got spoiled using the slideout keyboard on the Nokia (unfortunately it broke after 18 months). The 5mp camera takes great pictures. A great phone and I highly recommend it for the price ($240) and quality.

Great Android Cell Phone

This is my second smartphone (also bought in Amazon) and it's working fine with Movistar's network EDGE/3G (Ecuador, South America). Definitely, Android is an upgrade over the Blackberry OS.

PROS: I'm pleased so far with: Android OS, 1Ghz Processor, 3GB Internal Storage, 5.0 MP Camera and Google Play Store.

I'm really satisfied with the Google's sync capabilities. I use a couple gmail accounts and I browse with Google Chrome in my PC, so I can sync everything on the cloud (e-mail, calendar, contacts, documents, maps, etc). In other words, I can access my info anywhere and anytime.

1. Great Phone ... but the Auto Dim feature makes it almost unusable.
This is a really good phone for the most part. Huge clear screen and very snappy. I was very happy with this phone until .... I tried to read a long web page with it.

As someone else mentioned the display has a particular annoying behavior were it dims after 5 seconds. When I first noticed this I thought no problem, it's an Android, I can update the screen timeout settings. I soon came to find that the Display Settings are a little different from my Galaxy S2. Different in that there is no way to disable the screen dim timeout. Even if I could increase the timeout to 5 minutes or something the issue would be hugely mitigated. But there is nothing. I tried a lot of apps from Google Play to see if this is something that could fix it but none of them worked.

I contacted Customer Support who informed me there is no way to adjust this feature. I made the decision at that point that I could not live with it and returned the phone today.

2. Life view review
I buy stuff on Amazon all the time and never write reviews. I wanted to write a review for this phone because there really isn't that much quality feedback in regards to this device. I actually purchased this phone after returning an s4 due to it being way to expensive and before that I was using an s2. I have been very used to the Samsung interface. The blu phones are definitely more simple or "stock" android which is an adjustment from a galaxy experience. I do like the phone. It looks very cool and impressive. The screen is huge and bright. Surfing the web and watching videos is awesome on this thing. I am using a Walmart family mobile (tmobile) sim card and it worked immediately with no issues and i mostly get the hspa signal so it is pretty snappy with the internet.The phone feels sturdy in hand with some weight to it. The specs are pretty decent for the price. The speakers are OK. Camera is nice. I'm not a huge picture taker but it is nicer than what I need I suppose.My only...

Another Great Blu Phone
I did have a Blu Quattro 5.7 but after 2 weeks the ear speaker went out. I returned it and got this one. I was hesitant since there is no Micro SD Card slot. However, I am using Google Drive and storing all my files and music on there.
In the box was: The phone, earbuds with several size buds,instructions, charger and USB cable, screen protector, and a cover. This is one of the first unlocked phones that I got from Amazon that the box seal wasn't broken.
Its very sturdy and fits nicely in the hand. I love the fact that it has Gorilla Glass.
The phone as a great camera. Its a huge improvement over the camera on the Quattro. I also love the updates to the Android OS. It is smooth and very responsive. I like how you can setup the security to use your face to unlock the phone or a phrase.

CONS: Will require USB cord purchase and knowledge of converting ringtones. Does not support 3G Network. All picture messages/voice messages will be required to be downloaded in your gmail account instead of being downloaded automatically(so if you lack internet connection on your data plan, forget it).FM radio Instructions or logo/app unavailable. Oh yeah, it is not actually black.
Summary: If you have very little knowledge of cell phones and just wish to make/receive calls and basic supported texts, this may be a useful phone for you. But if you're the kind of user that expects all media files recieved to be immediately viewed upon opening, a variety of ringtones or supplied ones to be assigned individually and converted in factory, fm radio, a USB cord provided and an easy to use interface...Wait till your uprgrade or dish out the extra fundage for a more compatible phone to your liking.

2. Don't purchase
i bought the first one for my teenage son. seemed like a good phone for the price. his dad liked it too so after a couple of weeks i bought another one for him. a few weeks later, my husbands phone didn't receive any calls or textes for well over 7 hrs... bad since he is in the medical field. a few days later, my son's phone did the same thing. both phones receive messages and textes at random. my son's phone would only make emergency calls once and when i called him went to voice mail. the only way to fix this problem is to turn off the phone and turn it back on again. problem is, you pretty much never know when it isn't working. we have had the same cell carier for years and never had this happen until we started using this phones. next time, i will stick to samsung like we usually have....

Good Phone
This is good phone, not great. Does what I need until my contract is up and I can switch to a smartphone. The web browser is weird every time you go to a web page the font shrinks to 40%, and you have to zoom out on every page not matter what you set the previous page to. All in all it's a good phone for replacement use or a second phone.

I love this phone! Arrived very quickly on Amazon and was much cheaper than Walmart. It was hassle free to order and get delivered. (Ordered it on a Tuesday, got it Friday that same week) and it's not too hard to learn how to use. Other revews were right, the manual is not much help, but you can use your common sense to know what the icons on the top of the screen mean on the phone. I have mine working on only ONE Sim card and the speed is fine. The phone came clean and the battery came OUTSIDE the phone so you have to put that yourself. One thing that does scare me about the phone is that the back cover of the phone is quite tough to get off because its so thick and I was afraid to break it, But it's easy once you get the hang of it. I love my phone, and I totally recommend it to anyone looking for a great quality Android smartphone but don't wanna pay the price for it!

2. Like a galaxy phone without an out of this world price
Only have this for two days but boy, it sure works and looks well. Cannot say I'm disappointed. In fact, I am almost blown away by the fact that for the price, it performs so well and I am a tech lover. Only thing I didn't like was that the charging port is on top so I took off 1 star. So the missing star is for cosmetics, but would give 5 stars for functionality. I ordered a 5.3 s. Can't wait to get it.

Best big-screen phone for the money
I got the Studio 5.0s about 3 months ago and I love it. It is not a top-tier super fast phone, but it is not supposed to be. For $200 it runs fast on wifi or H/3G (I have it on straight talk), hold and runs as many apps and games as you want it to, and has a big, bright, sharp screen. I use it effectively for social networking, watching videos, reading and testing the mobile versions of websites I build. Great alternative to the $600 options out there if you are not looking to pay for the name.

1. Solid phone. Improves on the Droid 2
When I initially joined the Droid 'army' with my R2-D2 Droid phone (just a special edition version of the Droid 2) in 2010, I was quite taken by it. I loved the interface, the wide array of apps, and the very necessary physical keyboard (I have fat fingers. So, I run into a lot of problems with a touch screen keyboard).

However, as much as I loved the Droid 2, there several issues that proved to be very aggravating over time. The first was the frequency with which the home screen would lock up. When this would happen, I could either wait a long time for it to free up, or pop the battery out and reboot it. The other issue dealt with the touch screen getting wet. As is likely to happen held up to one's ear or briefly out in the elements, the touch screen will get wet. In the Droid 2, it would cause the screen to go haywire. Applications would activate on their own, the finger drag would kick in whenever it felt like, and sometimes it would make calls to people on...

2. Fine phone, poor battery experience
I've had this phone since a few days after Verizon released it. Keyboard is great, 4G is fast, hotspot works well, dual-CPU makes it fly for most tasks. OS is decent (but rooted it just to install AdAway and make real backups). My major complaint:

* By choosing to make the battery non-removable, it meant that not only could I not have a spare ready, but if the port to which the USB power cord attaches gets in any way busticated, the phone soon is dead. The only option now that Verizon doesn't stock these is a two day wait for a shipped replacement phone. *

Good thing I bought insurance... Make the battery removable for *all* phones, please! :)

Best Android phone I've used
I was sick of mis-typing on touch keyboards and longed for a physical keyboard like on my old Sony Xperia. Unfortunately, no such Android phones exist here in Australia, so took a risk in buying this one. I was not disappointed. Plenty of technical support available online and no issues putting a Telstra NextG SIM card into this phone.

Advertised as re-furbished, but it came without a scratch. Looked good as new to me! Also managed to pick up a Lapdock 100 on eBay so now I can use this as a very light laptop with excellent battery life.

1. This one near has it all
This phone does it all - almost. a great screen large enough to show movies with great definition. the camera and video camera both are great. The programs and applications offered are just amazing. my only wish was for more memory internally. the construction is great. Solidly built. If you don't mind the slightly extra weight then this is for you. On my belt, I dont feel it, but it starts to weigh in while holding it. not that this bothers me too much. My real complaint is the playback audio. Not that great. I would need to play with the settings some more to get what I want. WIth headphones no issues.

The programs and responsiveness are good. You don't have to wait forever for applications to load up. In this regard it blows many other phones (BB) out of the water. With this phone that is significantly cheaper I dont feel like I am missing an Apple phone at all. yeah - refuse to call it what its real name is!

2. The best phone by far!!
I have had this phone for 5 months, and it is by far the best phone I have ever had. I have owned a very many phones over a period of 17 years. Not only did I fall in love with android, but I fell in love with HTC. I was a little leary about getting a phone I knew nothing about, but I trusted my at&t sales rep and bought it. I have had almost no problems with it. I have way to many pictures and text messages on it and it causes it to freeze up sometimes but not much(which can be expected with so much space taken up). I usually just restart it and it is fine. Every so often I go through and delete things to give it a little bit of a break lol. I have never loved a phone as much as I love this one. I have dropped it on my ceramic tile in my kitchen and bathroom and it didn't even have so much as a scratch on it. I also dropped it on my concrete steps in my garage and again nothing happened to it. I have to say if you are going to get a smart phone (or any phone for that matter) this is...

Beware when buying to make sure your IMEI was not activated!!!!
This is not as much a fault of the cellphone as the seller Ross electronics. I bought the cellphone in july 11 2012 and in september it started acting up by not charging corectly. As it was after the 30 day return window with amazon i decided to use my one year warranty via HTC. However when i called them up they said the cellphones IMEI number had been activated as of september 2011. Meaning my Warranty expired in september 2012!!. They basically sold me a one year old USED phone. IT ended up with me returning the phone to amazon in september 3 Months after i purchased it for a full refund. So Amazon really protected me and trusted me with my problem.

So buyer beware make sure you contact the seller and verify that the cellphone is new so that you have a solid paper trail, and in case you did end up buying a used phone you can return it without a problem. It also is a very good idea to call the phone manufacturer and make sure the IMEI number is activated when you activate...

...but there are a few things to be aware of:

1) Know Which Hardware Version You're Getting:
If you're going to buy one of these, ask the seller which one they're selling to you. Essentially, there's a Chinese version and a Taiwanese version. The Taiwanese version has an inferior display, and generally isn't a good candidate for mod enthusiasts who want to 'root' their phone. Determining the type of Mytouch 4g in one's possession is as simple as looking behind the battery for the "made in _____" sticker.

I noticed someone gave this phone a one-star review because they got the Taiwanese version and wound up disappointed. I wound up with the China-made version, and my experience has been quite the opposite--it's a wonderful phone.

2) "Stock" vs Custom Firmware, Battery Life: For the common phone user, the stock software (the rom) on this phone is fairly solid. For android enthusiasts who like their custom ROMs (*cough*, Cyanogenmod, *ahem*), this...

2. Android Veteran
I started using Android back when G1 first came out and have had my hands on many many phones since. I love this phone. I used to help create apps but got out of that, I wanted something relaxing and easy to use that was also fun to use which this does all of. The customization of MyTouch is why you'd even consider buying one in the first place, you can change the entire look of your phone in a matter of seconds which brings new life into it when you're starting to get sick of it.

Live wallpaper means the background moves constantly which is cool for newer users (also a batter killer), the video chat can act as a mirror if you're vein like me or of course to chat with friends on Skype or whatever service you use. **Facebook** is embedded in this phone from the phone book to texts, if you use facebook - you'll absolutely love this phone. If you don't use facebook, it's seriously no big deal either way.

It's really skinny, light, I've got more compliments on this...

OK, so the battery life on this phone is weak if u let it run full blast, with all options etc... enabled, here is what you do: Download SetCPU from the market, now, set the scaling to CONSERVATIVE. Now your phone will not jump wildly from 245-1024 MHz at the slightest processor activity. Experiment with the profiles, you can lower the CPU while the screen is off for instance, i have mine set to 368 MHz whenever the screen is off, and set the priority high.
