The first expression of the new Motorola, the Moto X is the first smartphone to meet your desire for responsiveness with the best delivery of Google services. It's faster because it hears your voice and responds with Google Now. It tells you what you need to know, even when you're not touching it. You'll also be able to stay informed without constantly turning on your phone thanks to the new ultra-low power notification system.

Pick it up, and the Moto X is curved to fit your hand. With a twist of your wrist, it becomes your camera. Use a simple gesture to instantly launch the 10-megapixel rear camera without unlocking the phone. An easy-to-use interface allows you to capture images faster -- just touch anywhere on the screen to snap a photo and quickly shoot a burst of photos. The comfortable Moto X features a custom shaped battery that filled the curved space and powers your Moto X through a whole day.

Running the Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system, the Moto X is powered by the Motorola X8 Mobile Computing System, which includes a software optimized Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro (1.7 GHz Dual-Core Krait CPU, quad-core Adreno 320 GPU), a natural language processor, and a contextual computing processor.

The Moto X has 16 GB of internal storage, and its 2200 mAh battery provides up to 13 hours of talk time and 10 days (240 hours) of standby time.

Never Miss a Shot

The Moto X allows you to go from pocket to picture in just a few seconds, so you'll never miss a shot again. Whether your Moto X is in your pocket or already in use, just twist your wrist twice and it's ready to shoot. And because you can touch anywhere on the screen, it only takes one hand -- and just a few seconds -- to capture a perfect shot. The embedded Clear Pixel technology collects more light and snaps pictures up to twice as fast as other phone's cameras, so you can capture the darkest scenes or stop motion blur in bright light.

The 10-megapixel rear camera has a 16:9 aspect ratio and can shoot video at up to Full HD 1080p resolution at 30 fps (frames per second) with slow motion. It also features auto HDR, a panorama option, photo burst, and a 4x digital zoom.

Touchless Control

The Moto X responds to your voice, without you having to touch it. You just have to say: "OK Google Now" and give it a command. You can check messages, set an alarm, get directions, find out the weather, or do just about anything. With just a little training in a quiet room, your Moto X learns to recognize your voice. Then it knows you, even when everyone's talking at once. And thanks to the super low-power natural language processor, your Moto X is always ready with a quick response.

Active Display

Even when it seems to be sleeping, your Moto X is paying attention. Instead of a blinking light that doesn't actually tell you anything, information quietly appears on the screen. You don't have to wake your phone to look at the time or see your messages. But the active display is also smart enough to know when it's in your pocket or when it's placed face down so it won't deliver notifications, saving on battery power. As soon as you take it out of your pocket or turn it over, it discretely pulses with the time and any notifications you've received.

When you need a little more info, just touch the notification icon and details will appear on the top and bottom of the screen. Drag the icon up and the app associated with the notification will open. Drag the icon left or right to make them all go away.

Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS

Fast, fluid, and smooth, the Android 4.2 operating system (nicknamed Jelly Bean) offers effortless movement between home screens -- like turning the pages of a book. And it includes faster orientation changes, quicker switching between recent apps, and smoother and more consistent rendering throughout your mobile device. And widgets work like magic. As you place widgets on the screen, everything else automatically moves to make room. When they're too big, widgets resize on their own.

This Unlocked Cell Phones give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Use it to its full potential and you won't be dissapointed
I purchased the Moto X from Sprint about a week ago, taking advantage of their new One Up program (phone cost me .42). A little background to my Smartphone usage. My first Smartphone was the HTC Incredible, so I have an extremely high standard for what a good Smartphone is. I loved the Incredible. I followed that up with the Samsung Galaxy S2, to extreme disappointment. What a hunk of crap that phone was. So, when the opportunity arose to dump the crap box ahead of my contract renewal, I jumped on it.
I debated between going back to HTC with the One or going with the new Motorola Moto X. I was hesitant at first about the X, but figured, it's made by Google, why wouldn't it be great? I was correct. The key to making the most out of this phone is to not gimp it out. Use Google, leave the GPS and WiFi on. The battery life is outstanding and lasts well into a day and a half even with all the features turned on. The bonus to letting the phone do what it does is it makes...

2. Best phone I've ever had
I'm someone who is not easily impressed by phones. I've been using Android since 2.1 and have had over 10 Android phones to date. The problem with Android up to this year was the fact that it wasn't as stable and smooth as it should have been. A lot of that is caused by manufacturers' custom UI's, which is why before I bought this phone, the Galaxy Nexus running stock Android was the phone I kept coming back to. The Moto X has taken what I loved about the Galaxy Nexus (stock Android, comfortable hardware, Amoled screen) and made it 50 times better. For starters, this is hands down the best made non-metal phone on the market. How Motorola packed a 4.7" screen into a chassis this tight and petite is a mystery to me. They should be investigated for witchcraft. The screen, while only 720p, looks incredible. I held it next to my roommate's HTC One, and I could barely tell the difference in resolution. Everything looks vibrant and sharp. The ULTRA small side bezels are also a great...

Awesome phone
I have no idea what the previous reviewer was smoking when he claimed that the Moto X can't use Google Now.......WHAT!!! That is absolutely absurd!!!

I don't know what phone he was looking at but of course you can use Google Now on this phone, and touchless control is awesome (much better than Siri).

The phone is light, and feels great in the hand, personally I went with the Droid Maxx due to the massive battery life, this is personal preference of course as the Moto X can easily get you through the day. And yes, I have test driven a Moto X, so I speak from experience.

But honestly, if you are here looking for a cell phone, do yourself a favor and go to a service provider's brick and mortar store in your area and handle the phone first.

You won't be disappointed with the Moto X, but as I said, please check the phone out, any phone for that matter, in person to make your individual decision.
