1. just what i needed
i got this to replace an identical phone that was disabled in an unfortunate accident. i'd had that phone for more than two years and really like it. my fear was that i wouldn't be able to find another one and would be stuck with one of those "smart" phones. as luck would have it, the gu295 is fairly easy to find and the amazon price is pretty good.
there was a problem with the first replacement and amazon quickly saw me through that, sending a, uh, replacement for the replacement immediately.
i am very pleased with this purchase.

I am so pleased to have bought this new unlocked phone for my husband. He had this phone previously but it was stolen and AT&T no longer carried this phoine as a replacement. My husband is blind and this is this best phone for him to use. No other carrier carries a phone that will meet the needs of the sight impaired. Thank you for making his life just a little better.

Couldn't be Happier!
My brother had this phone for almost 2 years before it went for a swim in his coffee. We dried it out (via the rice method) but some of the buttons just wouldn't work anymore. I checked with AT&T but they don't offer this model any longer so we took a chance and ordered this one from Amazon. We stuck in the sim card and battery -- and voila! Brand new working slider phone!! I don't know why the other reviewer had a problem with the AT&T sim card but ours fit perfectly and the phone works like a charm. We're thrilled!!
